This is a kind of outrigger canoe.Most of the fishermen are using it for catching fish in the river or lagoon, and some of them are using for transport services.It was made it by fiber and the balance is maintained by a float bar which connected with two long and strong sticks. However, it has some risk for fishermen whom they can't use it on rainy days and wind days. Its not safety one.

When I in Sri Lanka most of the fishers man using this kind of canoe, but I don't know the original English word ,It is an economical boat.
ReplyDeleteThis is a manual riding canoe and lot of people fell in to river by unbalance so this type canoe has some risk for balancing
